How to Make a Decision Tree?

You can easily create a decision tree in Knowmax. Here’s how:

  1. On the admin dashboard, click the Hamburger Icon to open the Navigation Menu.
  2. From the left-side panel, expand the “Decision Trees” section and select “Create.”
  3. A new page will appear asking what type of decision tree you want to create. Click “Create a Decision Tree” to proceed manually.
  4. Enter a title for your decision tree and click “Continue.”
  5. Select a theme for your decision tree and click “Continue” again.
  6. Click “ADD OPENING QUESTION” to begin with a question or “ADD FORM NODE” if you need user input.
  7. Type the opening question and click “Continue” to move forward.
  8. Click the ‘+’ icon on the node to add the next step.
  9. Select “Add User Response” from the list to define answer choices.
  10. A list of response types will appear. Choose “Content” for multiple-choice options, “Form” for user input, or “Resolution” to directly add a resolution step.
  11. On the right panel, click the “Edit” icon to enter the title of the first option.
  12. Click the “Checked” icon to save the title.
  13. Click on the node again to add the next question based on the user’s response.
  14. Click the ‘+’ icon again to create another step.
  15. Select “Add User Response Content” to add another multiple-choice option.
  16. This time, choose “Resolution” to define the final resolution step.
  17. Click the “Edit” icon on the right panel to enter the resolution step’s title.
  18. Click the “Checked” icon to save the resolution title.
  19. In the right panel, enter the resolution message.
  20. If necessary, add remarks for the resolution.
  21. Click “SAVE & PROCEED” to continue or “SAVE AS A DRAFT” to edit later.
  22. Select a category for your decision tree.
  23. Preview your decision tree to ensure everything is correct.
  24. Click “UPLOAD FOR APPROVAL” to submit your decision tree or “BACK” to make changes.
  25. A dialog box will appear asking whether you want to create or edit FAQs in other languages. Click “No” to publish in the current language or “Yes” to auto-translate and publish in additional languages.

And that’s it! Once approved, your decision tree will go live, helping users navigate issues step by step. Keep it updated and watch customer satisfaction soar.
